Halloween Bark – Fun Halloween Food

This Halloween Bark has become an October family tradition. Each year my girls  get super excited to make what they refer to as,  Spooky Food!

This fun Halloween food is such a great recipe for the kiddos to help out with. First of all, it only takes minutes to make. There are no long waiting sessions for the kids to endure. 🙂 While the adults are melting the chocolate or almond bark, those little fingers can be sorting out food sprinkles and breaking up cookies and pretzels.

Want to mix things up? This melt in your mouth Halloween Bark can be customized for your favorite color and candy. Try milk chocolate, or orange colored melts.  Add in leftover Halloween candy. Have FUN!

Halloween Bark – Fun Halloween Food 

  • 12-14 orange and black sandwich cookies, broken up into large chunks
  • 1 cup pretzels, broken into pieces
  • 1 pound almond bark or white chocolate melts
  • 1 1/2 cups candy corn
  • 20-30 candy eyeballs
  • 1-2 tablespoons of a variety of Halloween food sprinkles.
  1. Melt almond bark according to package. I slowly melted mine in a sauce pan over a low heat, until smooth and shiny. Make sure to stir frequently to prevent burning.
  2. In the meantime, cover a large cookie sheet with wax paper or parchment paper.  Spread broken cookies, pretzels and about 1 cup of the candy corn onto the prepared cookie sheet.Broken cookies, pretzels and about 1 cup of the candy corn on a prepared cookie sheet
  3. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cookie mixture, spreading with spatula to coat evenly.
  4. Quickly sprinkle remaining candy corn, candy eyeballs and food sprinkles over the almond bark while it is still wet.  Place cookie tray into refrigerator until set and firm.Showing the last 3 steps of how to make the recipe

  1. do you have to store in the fridge or will it hold up well at room temp?

    1. It will hold up at room temp, but if you are going to store for a while, I would keep it in the fridge.

  2. If you melted more chocolate would it be easier to spread? Or should I just try to pour it evenly ?
