Halloween Bark – Fun Halloween Food

Halloween Bark broken into pieces on a black platter

This Halloween Bark has become an October family tradition. Each year my girls  get super excited to make what they refer to as,  Spooky Food!

This fun Halloween food is such a great recipe for the kiddos to help out with. First of all, it only takes minutes to make. There are no long waiting sessions for the kids to endure. 🙂 While the adults are melting the chocolate or almond bark, those little fingers can be sorting out food sprinkles and breaking up cookies and pretzels.

Want to mix things up? This melt in your mouth Halloween Bark can be customized for your favorite color and candy. Try milk chocolate, or orange colored melts.  Add in leftover Halloween candy. Have FUN!

  1. I do this with Easter candy and cut up peps. Really good too. Can’t wait to try with Halloween candy. So cute.

  2. I followed the recipe, but when I poured it over the ingredients then tried to spread it around it just all clumped up and I couldn’t spread it!! Maybe I didn’t get the chocolate hot enough??

  3. I tried making this and i had a hard time spreading the almond bark so make sure that you drizzle it very lightly over it completely before trying to spread. Otherwise you end up with a big mess. A mess you can eat but dosen’t look like the picture. It takes practice and patience.

I made this, it’s SO good! unfortunately my walmart didn’t have halloween oreo’s but they did have limg green candy melts! I also used pretzel chips instead of sticks. It was a little hard to spread, make sure to drizzle like Rose said, save a few pieces to stick to the top to make it pretty, because most of it ends up covered up.

    1. I am wondering if about a tablespoon of coconut oil (my go to oil) would help it to spread better and give it a shine. I think this is what I will be taking for my son’s class party!

  5. I love it . It´s so simple, Fast-to-do and colorful! We will definatelly try it anytime soon.
