Simply Delicious and Easy One Pot Meals

With summer winding down and always,  I find myself short on time. The very last thing I want to do after making an entire meal have to spend hours clearing the table, tiding up the dining room and then washing dishes. That’s why during this transition into back to school I make a lot of one pot meals.

One pot meals typically take a lot less time and effort to cook, and then clean up takes hardly no time at all. Here are some from my favorite bloggers that I plan to try soon.

Simply Delicious and Easy One Pot Meals

Total Time 40 minutes

Ingredients
 

  • 8 oz. box Penne Pasta
  • 16 oz. pkg. Smoked Sausage sliced
  • 1 14 oz Can Fire Roasted Tomatoes
  • 2 Cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • ½ Cup Milk
  • 2 Green Onions diced
  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  • In a large pot over medium heat, add the oil, sausage, and 3 of the onions for about 5-6 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Add the tomatoes, chicken broth, milk, and pasta. Stir together.
  • Bring this to a boil, turn down and let simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in cheese.
  • Serve with the extra green onion for a garnish.
