Two Ingredient Easy Pumpkin Brownies

Two Pumpkin Brownies stacked on a white plate

Don’t know what to make for dessert tonight? It doesn’t get much easier than this. All you are going to need is a box of your favorite brownie mix and a can of pumpkin!  These Easy Pumpkin Brownies are so moist and decadent, they actually turn out more  like fudge than a brownie. Drooooooool.

I topped my brownies with a simple butter/powdered sugar frosting.   Hey, why not?! You saved a bunch of calories omitting all the usual oil 😉

  1. Has anyone ever tried this with gluten free brownie mix? Just curious.

  2. I thought these tasted good! I would’ve liked them to rise a little bit, but other than that they’re great. Have you tried this recipe but subbing a box of spice cake mix for the brownie mix? Heavenly! I make them into muffins and bake with the same directions as above. 🙂

  3. Tried it…didn’t like the taste at all. Blecchh!! It may have been the canned pumpkin, but this recipe definitely needs nutmeg, cinnamon and cayenne pepper as Peggy suggests. I’ll try it again this way.

  4. When I made these, I added nutmeg and cinnamon. They were delicious!

  5. These pumpkin chocolate brownies just came out of the oven. I used the same Farmers Market Organic brand pumpkin, but (inadvertently) chose the Pumpkin Pie Mix variety with some sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and allspice included in the canned pumpkin. Added a dash of cayenne to a triple chocolate brownie mix (with chocolate chunks and chips). Turned out nice with the spices and pumpkin flavor – and so easy. Perfect for fall.

  6. Made these. They were pretty tasty. Tasted a lot of pumpkin though. Might slack off on the pumpkin spice next time and add a little less than a 1/2 teaspoon with some chocolate chips to bring more of the chocolate flavor out. I’ll be making these for the Halloween party in band class.

    1. Great idea to add the chips Nicole!

  7. These are super moist….more like a soft fudge then a brownie. We love them and fool ourselves thinking they’re healthier….lol

  8. Wanting to try these. But want to make sure what’s best first. Do I need to get the Easy Pumpkin pie mix or just regular pumpkin. And the boxes in the store were only 18.4, 18.9 or 16 oz boxes. So I got the biggest one they had. Hope that little bit won’t make a huge difference.

  9. Adding a box of brownie mix and a can of pumpkin to my grocery list… Can’t wait to try these!
