Apple pie flavor in a glass.
Ah, apple pie. That classic, all-American dessert. Sweet and tangy apples blending with spicy cinnamon, melting in your mouth in a flaky crust. What could be more comforting?
If only it weren’t so rich! Did you know that one-eighth of a 9-inch apple pie has 300 calories and 14 grams of fat? It’s true—just Google it. Sure, those are 300 worthy calories, but it’s still not something you want to indulge in every day.
Unless you indulge in my much lighter, healthier version that you can whip up in the blender. Its blend of sweet honey, creamy yogurt, apples, and milk satisfies your apple pie cravings without all the extra fat. If you really miss the crust, just garnish it with a graham cracker. And since it’s so light, you can even add a little extra indulgence by topping it with a spritz of whipped cream.
Another bonus: unlike a real apple pie, which takes a couple of hours to assemble and bake, this Healthy Apple Pie Smoothie can be ready in minutes. So when that apple-pie urge hits, you can hit back fast.

Looks deLiCious! What’s Your fAvorite blender for making smoothies (i need one & would love your opInion!)? Thank you.
Grace says
Did you have problems with the consistency of the smoothie? I tried it, but it was very chunky, even though I blended it very well. Did you ever have this problem? Thank you in advance! I’m sure that if I figured out what I did wrong it would be a delicious recipe! Oh, P.S. I left the honey out to make it healthier. Could that have been the problem?
Corey says
I haven’t had that problem Grace. I don’t think the honey would affect it either. Maybe it’s just the different kinds of blenders?
Brandei says
Do you have the nutrition into for this? Calories, carbs, etc?
Benjamin Gee says
Really need nutricinal info

I tried this recipe with a twist. I was in a hurry and did not want to chop an apple plus felt it would make smoothie too chunky. I used honey crisp apple cider instead about 2 cups and 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk, with non dairy vanilla Silk yogurt. It was delicious. I made it for 2 people. I too would love to know nutritional information for the regular recipe.

Can you use a Magic Bullet for this smoothie?
Corey says
Yes!

DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE ALRIGHT TO FREEZE?
Corey says
Yes! You can leave it in the fridge the night before to thaw out for the morning

Looks good but the carbs and sugar grams are high for diabetics. Anyway to help out in those areas? Can’t wait to try it!

We all loved this. I doubled it to feed myself and my 3 young boys. Texture was a little grainy, but otherwise great. We happened to have caramel dip on hand, so we used that instead of honey.

Well..I made the Apple Pie Smoothie and it was delicious…I added half more milk…and no honey…so it was more in volume…so I had more to drink.. and enjoy… I added maple syrup rather than honey…

This is amazing! I followed the recipe as listed. Absolutely loved it! Mine came out very thin/runny, but I think it’s because I used Yoplait yogurt. I think next time I will either leave out the milk or reduce the amount for a thicker consistency. It will maker it lower in fat as well!
Steven Johns says
I made it and added 1/2 an avocado. It was great
