Recipe Notes:

  • While I’ve used baby back ribs (I really love the flavor of them), you could use beef ribs instead.
  • To reduce the sugar content in this coca cola ribs recipe, use diet coke instead of regular coke, and add a liquid sweetener if required.
  • If you want a little spice in these easy coca cola ribs, add a few red pepper flakes into the crockpot.
  • Regular coke can be substituted with other carbonated drinks (with sugar) such as Pepsi or Dr Pepper root beer. The taste is going to vary but will remain delicious.
Can I use boneless ribs for this recipe?

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You also have the option of freezing this dish for up to 3 months.

How can I get a crispy exterior to my ribs?

If you want a slightly crispy exterior to your ribs just prior to serving, pop the ribs in the oven after adding the extra sauce over the slow cooked ribs, and set to broil for about 5-6 minutes.
