Turn ordinary hot dogs into gruesome-looking witch fingers with the help of a kitchen knife and some ketchup. These witch hot dog fingers only require 3 ingredients and can be made in just 20 minutes – perfect for your holiday parties.

Recipe Notes:

  • Don’t add any toppings to your hotdogs until you are ready to eat them otherwise the toppings will make your hot dog buns soggy!
  • These Halloween hot dogs can be enjoyed with various side dishes such as French fries, crispy potato wedges, creamy coleslaw, pasta salad, or cucumber salad.
  • Prep ahead by making any hot dog toppings the day before and and storing them in separate airtight containers in the fridge. For best taste, boil the hot dog fingers just before serving these Halloween witch hot dog fingers.

Can I freeze these for later?

Yes, you can. Once completely cooled, add these hot dog fingers to a Ziploc bag or airtight container and store them in the freezer for up to 2 months. Defrost the frozen fingers in the refrigerator and reheat them in hot water or in the microwave.

How should I store any leftover I have?

Store the witch hot dog fingers separately from the buns if you have leftovers. The hot dog fingers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can reheat them in the microwave before serving.

Any leftover buns should be wrapped with aluminum foil and stored at room temperature in an airtight container or a Ziploc bag to prevent them from becoming stale. Keep in mind that fresh hot dog buns will start to turn stale after 2-3 days of storage.
