Honey Garlic Pork Chops

Honey garlic sauce strikes again! This time, I’m putting my famous flavor combo to work in a hearty main dish: Honey Garlic Pork Chops.

I’ve been a huge fan of honey garlic sauce ever since I first put it in my Honey Garlic Crockpot Meatballs. I went on to use it with cocktail weeniesPolish sausagechickencarrots and even shrimp lo mein. But until now, I’ve never tried it with pork.

Well, it worked like a charm. First, I rubbed the chops with salt, pepper, and sage and seared them. Then I dunked them in my luscious honey garlic sauce and broiled them until they were just a bit charred on the edge. And they came out just perfect. Crisp outside, juicy inside, and loaded with flavor through and through, they’re everything you could ask for in a chop.

How should I store my Honey Garlic Pork Chops?

Once the honey garlic pork chops have been cooked, they should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They can be stored for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator.

To freeze, place the pork chops in a freezer-safe container or bag, and store them in the freezer for up to 2-3 months. When you are ready to reheat, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight and then reheat them in the oven or microwave until they are heated through.

What should I serve with my Honey Garlic Pork Chops?

Roasted Vegetables: Roasted vegetables such as Brussels sprouts, asparagus, broccoli, or carrots are a healthy and flavorful side dish that pairs well with honey garlic pork chops.

Mashed Potatoes: Mashed potatoes are a classic side dish that complement the savory flavors of the pork chops. You can also add in some garlic or herbs for extra flavor.

Rice: Serve the pork chops over a bed of rice, or serve the rice as a side dish. Jasmine or basmati rice works well, or you can opt for a wild rice blend.

Salad: A light and fresh salad is a great way to balance out the richness of the pork chops. A simple green salad with a vinaigrette dressing would be a great choice.

Grilled or Steamed Vegetables: Grilled or steamed vegetables such as green beans, zucchini, or squash are a healthy and easy side dish that pairs well with the pork chops.
Bread or Rolls: Warm bread or rolls can help soak up the flavorful sauce from the pork chops.

What if I don’t have an oven-safe skillet?

If you don’t have an oven-safe skillet, you can transfer the pork chops to a baking dish or sheet pan for broiling.

Here’s how:
– After searing the pork chops on both sides in a regular skillet, remove them from the skillet and place them in a single layer in a baking dish or sheet pan.

– Make the sauce as directed in the same skillet you used to sear the pork chops.

– Pour the sauce over the pork chops, making sure to coat them evenly.

– Preheat your broiler to high.

– Place the baking dish or sheet pan under the broiler and broil for 1-2 minutes or until the edges of the pork chops are slightly charred.

– Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Using a baking dish or sheet pan is a good alternative if you don’t have an oven-safe skillet. Just be sure to handle the hot pan carefully, using oven mitts or a kitchen towel, when transferring it to and from the oven.
