Beer Dip served in a bowl with pretzels and a bottle of beer

BEER DIP! This is the dip we bring everywhere, and it is always the first dip to disappear. Seriously, no gathering is complete without this easy dip.

My dear friend Beth introduced me to this dip. I give her all the credit for the awesomeness!  Did I mention how simple this bad boy is to make! Check it out!

Beer Dip - Easy Party Dip Appetizer - Ingredients laid out. Shredded cheese, beer, cream cheese, pretzels and ranch dip

How to make Beer Dip

  1. I used an electric stand mixer to mix  up the dip. Feel free to mix by hand…. you will burn many more calories, which means you can eat more beer dip 🙂
  2. Start by placing the 2 bricks of cream cheese in your mixing bowl. Pour about 1/2 a beer into the bowl.
  3. Next add your 2 cups of cheese and ranch mix.

  4. Mix together until smooth. Feel free to play around with the beer. You can add more to make it thinner or don’t put as much in to thicken it up. Refrigerate dip for about and hour. And serve! You can serve this dip with a ton of different dippers. Pita chips, crackers, veggies. Our favorite is pretzels! Hope you enjoy!Beer Dip Recipe in a wooden bowl with pretzels on the site

Recipe shows 1 min cooktime…but nothing in instructions about cooking?

    1. Hi Linda, in our old recipe card, and of the 0’s got changed to 1’s by mistake. I will make sure to get that one changed to 0 cook time now. Sorry for any confusion.

Unsure from the posted recipe to cook or not, I placed in a microwave for 3 mins on Power 60. Then stirred and microwaved again for another 2 mins on Power 60. The dip was excellent, a lovely melted cheese/ beer flavor that had been enhanced by “baking”. I served with pretzels and corn dippers: Folks raved over it! I made it again within the same week for another event and again – this was a real winner!!

  2. This looks awesome – is the cream cheese supposed to be cold or room temperature?

    1. When I make it, I take it right out of the fridge. I do use a stand mixer, so mixing isn’t a problem. If you are mixing by hand, you might want to bring the cream cheese to room temp.

This is exactly the way I learned to make this beer dip at a Green Bay Packers tail gate party. I loved it so much I memorized it. Thank you for helping out with the memory part.
