BLT Kabob Lunchbox Idea

Easy BLT Kabobs Lunchbox Idea - Family Fresh MealsThere are some sandwich ingredients that just seem made to go together. There’s ham and cheese, peanut butter and jelly…and, of course, the classic combo of bacon, lettuce and tomato. The crisp, smoky bacon, tender green lettuce, and juicy tomato all complement each other perfectly. It may not be a match made in heaven, but it certainly tastes heavenly. So when I started coming up with all these mini-kabob lunchbox ideas, I just knew that the BLT deserved a kabob variant of its own.Easy BLT Kabobs Lunchbox Idea - showing how to make three BLT kabobs

Turning this classic sandwich into a kabob was simple. Most of the ingredients – lightly toasted bread, lettuce leaves, and bacon strips – were easy to cut or tear into small pieces. The only exception was the tomato slices, and I fixed that by replacing them with whole cherry tomatoes. Then I just strung all the pieces together on a skewer – bread, tomato, lettuce, bacon, bread – and kept repeating until the skewer was full.

Just like my spicy BLT Pasta, this BLT Kabob Lunchbox Idea are easy to make as a vegetarian dish. Just replace the bacon with your favorite veggie bacon (Lightlife Smart Bacon) is a good one. All you need is some orange sections and mini pretzels to round out the meal.Easy BLT Kabobs Lunchbox Idea - showing how to make kabobs for lunch
