Crab Stuffed Mushrooms

For most parties, you serve appetizers. You know, just basic, tasty finger foods like my Pull Apart Pizza Bread, or a plate of veggies and crackers with one of my Delicious Dips (<— shameless plug fo my e-cookbook.)Crab stuffed Mushrooms stacked on a plate

But for a fancy party, you don’t just need appetizers, you need canapés. Which are basically appetizers, but they have to look and taste extra special, as well as being finger-friendly.

Which is where these Crab Stuffed Mushrooms come in – or should I say, make their entrance. Because these baby Bella mushroom caps, stuffed with well-seasoned crabmeat and cheese, topped with golden panko breadcrumbs, and served warm out of the oven, will impress even the snootiest party guest.hand holding a stuffed mushrooms

Yet although they look fancy, they’re not hard at all to make. All you have to do is mix together the filling, spoon it into the mushroom caps, top them with panko, and pop them in the oven. In just 20 minutes, you’ll have tender mushrooms, oozing with melted cheese and zesty crabmeat. So you can spend less time in the kitchen, and more on being the perfect host and impressing your guests even more.

Fresh crab meat is so limited in terms of availability, so great that this uses canned. I’ll be giving this a try at my next gathering.
