Your guests will surround the crockpot FIGHTING for the last bite.
The holidays are here and you know what that means. Parties GALORE! And what appetizer is LOVED by all? You got it! Meatballs. These tangy meatballs will have your guests gathered around the crockpot fighting for the last bite.
Don’t like frozen meatballs? I used them to save some time (momma loves to save time). But if you have a killer meatball recipe, feel free to use your homemade recipe instead.

Corey @ Family Fresh Meals says
Hahaha, that is AWESOME! XO
Melissa says
Yum! I wonder how these would taste in a Meatball sandwich?
Corey @ Family Fresh Meals says
Now you’re talking! I should create a tangy ranch sauce to drizzle over the sandwich 🙂 YUM!
Keeley McGuire says
ANOTHER fabulous recipe from Chef Corey & Co.! 😉
This sounds amazing. Def going to try it out.
Corey @ Family Fresh Meals says
Thanks Keeley! You are so sweet!
Sarah says
Oooh.. ever try this with vegetarian meatballs? Hmm….
Holly says
What if I use thawed homemade meatballs is the cook time the same as opposed to being frozen?
Corey says
Yes, I would shorten it just a bit…maybe 3.5-4 hours on low. You don’t want the meatballs to dry out. Hope that helps!
Susie says
I can’t wait to try this… How’s the kick with the jalapenos? I’ve got a wuss, a picky 4 year old, and a 2 year old… Not a very spicy friendly household!
Corey says
There is a little kick to them, so I would leave those out and maybe add some extra green onions. I hope you love them 🙂 XO
Susie says
Made these today using Seville orange marmalade (didn’t know there was a difference until everything was in the pot), they took that bitter Seville flavor, though I did add some sugar. None the less picky for year old and toddler went back for more!
I wonder how this would do with pineapple chunks and bell peppers. Shishkabobs here we come!
Corey says
Great idea for the kabobs! Sounds like a plan 🙂
Regan says
Hi Corey,
What sides did you serve with this one? We love meat balls but I always struggle withe sides.
Corey says
I have done a crunchy Asian Pasta Salad or a potato salad. I think any pasta salad would go great with these. Hope that helps 🙂
lena says
what kind of meatballs to buy? brand?
Corey says
I have used so many different brands. Whatever your favorite is will work just fine 🙂

OMMY NOMMY NOMMY! I loved these. I could have eaten them all! I had them by themselves, I had them stuffed in between Hawaiian Rolls as a little mini sammich, and I had them over rice. I would prefer it over rice because it’s more like a meal, but there wasn’t enough sauce so it was just plain rice and didn’t taste good like that. Man, would I love it if the recipe was updated to be saucier! 😉 Should I just double it? I really want to try your other crockpot meatball recipe now but I’m too scared because I don’t want to run into the not-enough-sauce problem again. Hmmm…!
Angela says
I was just wondering how saucy they’d be, wonder if I double everything but the meat…hmmm
Sophie says
I’m having a lot of people over this Saturday for my daughter’s first birthday so I was wondering if I could double up on everything??
Thanks a lot!
Corey says
Yes! I think that would work out fine 🙂
Ashlee says
Should the sauce get thick & gooey? Mine is runny and I was hoping for a stickier thicker sauce….
Elizabeth G Tongue says
This recipe sounds great. I didn’t have any orange juice so I substituted juice from an orange. I also added some diced garlic and some pear ginger jam along with the orange marmalade. The meatballs are still cooking. They are going to a New Year’s Eve party..
Jaclyn says
Hi Corey! I assume these are cooked, frozen meatballs? Thanks for the clarification!
Corey says
Yes Jaclyn 🙂
Sandy says
Can I make these the day before? Love all your recipes!
Thank you.
Corey says
You sure can Sandy 🙂

I made this but 1/2C of orange juice 1/2C beef broth. Homemade meatballs. Added chopped cilantro. Then after 3 hours mixed 6TB butter and 6TB flour in saucepan and added to thicken sauce. OMG AMAZING.
