TIPS FOR MAKING LEFTOVER THANKSGIVING TURKEY SLIDERS

  • These sliders are best enjoyed straight out of the oven!
  • You could also make these sliders with deli sliced turkey which is a great option if you intend making them prior to Thanksgiving.
  • If you have leftover sliders, reheat them in the oven for the best results.
  • These sliders can be assembled up to 4 hours prior to baking. Simply store them covered with foil or plastic wrap in your refrigerator until you’re ready to bake them!
  • If you are worried about your slider bun tops burning while baking, keep a foil cover over them for the first 15 minutes of baking and then uncover them for the remaining time in the oven to get them golden brown.
  • This recipe serves 15 sliders and most people usually eat about 2 sliders each. You can easily double or triple the recipe to feed a larger crowd!Ingredients for Leftover Thanksgiving Turkey Sliders

WHAT KIND OF VARIATIONS CAN I MAKE TO THESE TURKEY SLIDERS?

  • I think these turkey sliders are just amazing as they are but if you want to alter the recipe, then have a look at my suggestions below:
    • Substitute cheddar cheese for brie wedges or swiss cheese.
    • Use store-bought or prepared cranberry sauce if you do not have any leftover cranberry sauce available.
    • If you don’t have any leftover cranberry sauce, you also have the option of substituting a chutney or bacon jam for the cranberry sauce.
    • If you want a splash of green color to your sliders, spinach and rocket goes well with the rest of the ingredients.
    • Add pickled jalapeños in between the meat and cheese for some spice.
    • Use marinara sauce instead of cranberry sauce for an Italian spin on the recipe! Two leftover Thanksgiving sliders stacked on top of each other, on a plate

This recipe is excellent! I didn’t change a thing. The cranberries made it pop with flavor.
