Who here loves chicken salad? Boy oh boy do I have an EASY new favorite for you. Are you ready to meet your new favorite chicken salad? Let me introduce you to this Easy Loaded Chicken salad.

My Loaded Chicken Salad starts out like your classic chicken salad, with shredded chicken, celery, green onion, and mayo. Then, you turbo-charge the flavor by loading it up with sour cream, bacon, and cheddar cheese. And to finish it off, you can either serve it on your favorite bread and serve it on big romaine lettuce leaves, or a wrap!

This Loaded Chicken Salad is the perfect lightened up summer meal you can enjoy for dinner, lunch or a snack.

Loaded Chicken Salad

My Loaded Chicken Salad recipe starts out like your classic chicken salad, but then you turbo-charge the flavor by loading it up with flavor!

Ingredients
 

  • 2 cups cooked chicken my crockpot shredded chicken works great
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 cup celery diced
  • 1/4 cup green onion diced
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt

Instructions

  • Combine all the ingredients, except the lettuce, and stir together until well combined. Cover and refrigerate for at least and hour.
  • When ready to serve, put a small scoop of chicken salad onto a lettuce leaf and serve. Garnish with extra onion and bacon pieces if you would like.

Notes

Serve on Romaine Lettuce Leaves, bread or your favorite crackers

    It sounds good but would take out the onions and add apples chunks, grapes, and cashews.

    Good recipe for using rotisserie or leftover chicken. I add some fresh lemon thyme and omit the salt!.

  3. Honestly, can’t anyone make anything nowadays, without adding cheese & bacon into it? I guess that bloggers now have to keep up with the newer unhealthier way of preparing food, in order to appeal to their readers. I have nothing against this terrific blog, but I’m just sayin’……

  4. Loved this recipe but I used bell pepper instead of celery it really brought out flavors in the salad
