Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese Sliders
Pulled pork mac and cheese sliders are dangerously delicious, perfect as appetizers for parties, or to munch on while watching sports games. These are also great for an easy and quick family meal that you can enjoy during the week.
The sweet and savory combination of tender sticky pulled pork with melted sharp cheddar macaroni means that you’ll more than likely need to be making a double batch of these bad boys, especially if you intend taking them to a party – they will be gone in a blink of an eye!
Purchasing prepared pulled pork is definitely the way to go if you want to save yourself extra time and effort although there’s nothing stopping you from making your own in advance. While I prepare for the busy holiday season ahead, I’m only too happy to opt for making my life easier and these sliders fit right into that plan.
TIPS FOR MAKING PULLED PORK MAC AND CHEESE SLIDERS
- Don’t separate the sliders. You will save yourself a lot of time when assembling these mini sandwiches by keeping them attached.
- Browning your sliders isn’t absolutely necessary but I do think it adds another level of flavor to each slider as well as helps prevent the buns from getting soggy.
- Making your own pulled pork specifically for this recipe is an option but will require some planning ahead of time as you need prepared pulled pork for these sliders. Alternatively, you can purchase prepared pulled pork to save time.
- These sliders are best enjoyed straight out of the oven!
