Can I make the dough ahead of time?

Yes! Prepare the dough, cover it with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight. Let it come to room temperature before baking.

Can I knead the dough by hand?

Absolutely. Use a lightly floured surface and knead for about 6–8 minutes until you form a smooth ball.

What if my dough doesn’t rise?

Make sure your yeast isn’t expired and that your warm water or sour cream mixture isn’t too hot—between 105°F–115°F is ideal.

How do I know when the rolls are done?

The tops should be a rich golden brown and sound hollow when gently tapped.

Can I add herbs or cheese?

Yes! Try mixing in dried herbs or shredded cheese during the kneading step for extra flavor next time.
