A healthier twist on a family favorite.
Meatloaf is one of those dishes you can always count on in a pinch. It’s easy, it doesn’t call for any unusual ingredients, and you know it will satisfy the family. And if you get tired of having it plain, there are lots of ways to dress it up, from Chipotle Glazed Meatloaf to Mini Meatloaf Cupcakes.
But these days, it seems like everyone is telling us to eat less red meat. If it’s not doctors warning us about heart disease, it’s scientists telling us how burping cows are warming up the planet. And even if we don’t listen to them, the price of beef at the grocery store is enough to put us off at least a little.
What does this mean? Do we need to give up our faithful old standby?
Not with this Turkey Meatloaf recipe! It tastes just like the classic meatloaf you know and love, but it swaps out the ground beef for lean, healthy ground turkey. It’s got less than one-third as much fat as beef, and nearly twice as much protein. And it’s around 30 percent cheaper, too.
Give it a try, and you’ll see how easy it is to satisfy the family in a healthier way. PS… don’t forget to pack those leftover for lunch the next day. We love these lunchboxes!(amazon link)

A great recipe, Corey! It sounds SO delish & healthy. One thing which I add is some diced red bell pepper, b/c my family & I like bell peppers in our meatloaves, yet no-one else seems to. Gee, I wonder why?.
