Ultimate Bloody Mary Bar
I love a good Bloody Mary. In fact, I love that spicy tomato flavor so much, I’ve used it in tons of other recipes – like my Boozy Bloody Mary Tomato Bombs, Bloody Mary Deviled Eggs, and Bloody Mary Flank Steak. But until now, I’ve never actually given you my recipe for the cocktail itself.
Now, you might be thinking this cocktail is just too complicated to make on your own. But actually, it takes no more than five minutes to mix up your own Bloody Mary mix in a pitcher. Just start with a spicy tomato juice, add all the seasonings, stir it, and it’s all set to mix with vodka to your taste.
Mind you, a proper Bloody Mary doesn’t end with that. Because what really makes this drink special is the garnishes. There’s a huge variety of things you can top this cocktail with, from simple (celery stalks, olives, lemon wedges) to elaborate (waffle fries, Buffalo wings, mini corn dogs). And my favorite thing to serve my Bloodies with is…all of them.

Of course, an Ultimate Bloody Mary Bar like this takes a little time to set up. But I always say, if you’re gonna do it, do it right.
Recipe Tips:
- Adjust seasonings to taste. The flavor combos will change depending on which brand of tomato juice or tomato juice blend you use. I like to start with a spicy tomato juice, but you could also offer a regular tomato juice and build the spice yourself.
- Tabasco, horseradish, and black pepper add spice/heat. Beef stock and Worcestershire add depth.
- Lemon juice and celery salt add some saltiness and flavor.
- Garnishes such as olives, peppers, lemon/lime wedges, cocktail onions, and pepperoncinis can be drained and placed in bowls in advance. Cover the bowls with plastic wrap and refrigerate – this can be done a day in advance.
- Crisp bacon and extravagant garnishes like french fries and buffalo wings should be prepared immediately before serving so they are fresh, warm, and crispy.

Juice from a jar of dill pickles or green olives is good in this too!
