Air Fryer Candied Pecans
I’m starting to wonder if there’s anything the air fryer can’t do. It’s been over a year since I got mine, and in that time, it has not failed me once.
I’ve used it to make perfect cheeseburgers, crisp Buffalo wings, tender salmon, and oil-free zucchini fries, and it has handled every job without missing a beat. And now, it’s even making candied pecans.
These absolutely irresistible little morsels are pecan halves coated with brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt (plus an egg white to make it stick). Normally I make them in the crockpot ( with this candied pecan recipe), and it takes three hours of cooking, with a stir every 20 minutes, to bring them to crunchy perfection.
Air Fryer Candied Pecans
- In the bowl of your mixture, whip up the egg whites until they are light and fluffy.
- Gently fold the pecans into the egg whites. Stir in the sugars, cinnamon, and salt.
- Place the mixture into the basket of the air fryer. Turn the air fryer on to 325°F for 8 minutes; halfway through, stir the pecans.
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone liner. Spread the nuts on the pan and spread them out into a single layer. Allow the pecans to cool for 15 minutes.
- Store in an air-tight container.
