Two favorite sandwiches in one.
It’s hard to think of a more all-American sandwich than the good old sloppy joe. That browned ground beef in a tangy, zesty, tomato-rich sauce, spilling out over the edges of the bun, is a favorite with nearly everybody. It’s kind of messy, but totally worth it.
So how could you possibly improve on this classic sandwich? I’ll tell you how: by replacing the regular sloppy joe sauce with McDonald’s Special Sauce. You know the one I mean – that creamy sauce that comes with a Big Mac, which tastes like all your favorite condiments whisked into one.
It turns out there’s a super easy hack for making this sauce at home: just combine some mayo and Thousand Island dressing. This gives you all the same flavors as McDonald’s sauce with almost no work. And once you’re using Special Sauce in your sloppy joe, you might as well go all the way and add in all the rest of the ingredients that make a Big Mac a Big Mac – the cheese, pickles, onions, lettuce, and of course, the sesame-seed bun to hold it all together.
This Big Mac Sloppy Joe gives you all the flavors of your favorite McDonald’s burger in every sloppy, oozing bite. It’s like two all-American sandwiches in one.

I found this recipe in my inbox and decided to make it the same day, since I did not know what to cook and had all the ingredients on hand. It was an instant hit with the meatlovers and fans of all things fast food in my family! The best things about it – I have control over the quality of the ingredients and can enjoy something that tastes just like “real deal”, but knowing there is nothing too crappy in there. It surely wasn’t the last time I’ve made it; there have been requests for more of them! Thank you for this recipe!

I LOVED THIS! I am the only woman in a house with my husband and 2 sons and let me tell you..this recipe was a man pleaser. My husband has requested it twice now. It can be made a little healthier if you cut back on the dressing . Great for people that try not to eat out for different reasons
