Good recipe. Added beef broth and a can of green beans. Used russet potatoes turned out good . Added cheese when served instead of in crock pot. Used diced tomatoes with green chilies. Rotel.

I omitted the Mrs Dash and tomatoes because I used green chili.

    100% awesome!

Thank you, this is a keeper!!!

If I have regular red kidney beans (uncooked and not in a can), could I use these? Or should I go buy the can beans?

    1. I have only made the recipe as written, so I would buy the canned beans

I made this exactly according to directions the first time. It was good, but we needed more flavor. The second time I adapted it to our tastes. I used spicy Mrs. Dash, more ground pepper, and added leftover Italian green beans. Very easy recipe to adapt.

    1. 10.5 oz cream of mushroom, and 14.5 diced tomatoes
