Sescily Daniels says
Could you use ranch instead of blue cheese
Corey says
I have never used ranch, but I bet that would be awesome! Let me know how it turns out 🙂
Jay says
The blue cheese is not strong in this dish as is. The ranch dressing has preservatives in it. I use blue cheese crumbles. It is delicious.
Sierra says
Have you used an alternative to blue cheese? I would love to makes this for the family however most of the family does not like blue cheese.
Corey says
I really think ranch dressing would work great!
Victoria says
I use cream cheese… YUM

I have used sour cream as an alternative to blue cheese or ranch dressing (my husband hates both). It comes out well.
Cindy says
Nobody in my house likes bleu cheese but I used it because I like to make recipe as is first then can make changes next time. You can’t really taste that bleu cheese taste. My kids even loved it.
Corey says
Awesome Cindy! I am so glad everyone loved it!
Jay says
Agree
Donna says

Michelle McManis says
I have made this substituting Ranch fid the blue cheese and it tastes great. I usually toss it all together in the crock pot.

I’ve been making buffalo chicken dip for years but this is by far the easiest and best version!
Corey says
Thanks Melissa!
Meriannea says
This sounds amazing. Has anyone ever ventured to try this is the crock pot?
Diane Caldwell says
Thats the only way I make it. Just throw everything in the crock pot. Stir and cook on low for a few hours. I like this way because if your having a party or making for a football game it stays hot …after its all cooked through and piping hot, I switch my crock pot to warm…delicious!!
Kerry says
Do you mean 30oz of chicken in total or 10oz? Confused!
Corey says
30 oz total. The canned chicken is usually sold in 10 oz cans, so I used 3, 10 oz cans….totally 30 oz:) I hope that helps! You are gonna LOVE this dip!
Judy says
Trying this dish for the first time today for Super Bowl party…..boiled 2 chicken breasts instead of using the canned chicken….shredding the chicken was the hardest part, may buy the canned chicken next time and try that instead…looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
Corey says
Drooling just thinking about the finished product Judy 🙂 I hope you love it!
Patti says
If you cook your chicken use a mixer to spread the chicken for this it is very easy to do and works great
Denisse says
We use costco brand. Its pretty moist, its 12 oz ea.. This has become a family potluck staple. Thank you for posting
Corey says
Awesome Denisse! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Jill Cowley says
Just use a hand mizer to sread, works great!
Emily says
This sounds incredible I cannot wait to try this you have no idea!
Margaret says
I have made this several times, its always the first snack to go. As for the chicken I prefer to use the rotisserie chicken from the supermarket. Its also good served in a bread bowl, but best with Scoops chips.
Michael says
I’ve been looking for a wing dip recipe for an upcoming family reunion. Think I found it. I’m going to smoke a chicken for a different taste. Would this work served cold, or is it best hot?
Corey says
I do think it tastes best warmed 🙂
Amy says
If not using canned chicken, how much chicken?
Corey says
about 3.5-4 cups 🙂
Kayy says
I use ranch instead of blue cheese dressing. Also use lousiana hot sauce instead of Franks. It’s delish!
Ryan says
I followed this recipe but replaced blue cheese for ranch and doubled the amount of hot sauce for extra kick. My cheese came out rather crispy and I’m wondering if that is due to using a dark metal dish instead of a glass one? It still looks and tastes great but I think in the future I will try glass for this recipe.
Corey says
That probably was the issue Ryan.
Liz says
Has anyone used shredded chicken? I have left over from dinner and would like to use it instead of canned.
