It’s a great way to satisfy pizza cravings with minimal prep and cleanup, making it perfect for lunch, dinner, or a party appetizer. Whether you use mozzarella, an Italian cheese blend, or add your own toppings, this fun recipe is one the whole family will love. Each pizza waffle cooks for about 2–3 minutes, or 3–5 minutes depending on your waffle iron.
This recipe is designed for a hot waffle iron, but you could bake the assembled dough in the oven at 375°F for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
Absolutely! These are one of the best things to serve as an after-school snack or at a school party.
Cheese: Use shredded cheddar cheese, part-skim mozzarella, or a mix for different flavor combos.
Sauce: Swap pizza sauce for tomato sauce or marinara sauce depending on preference.
Meat: Use cooked sausage or ham in place of pepperoni—or go meatless for a vegetarian option.
Dough: Substitute with biscuit dough or even homemade dough if preferred.

Sounds delicious AND fun!! Great idea!
What a fun idea! My kids would love this.
I love this idea! I’ve made pizza crescents plenty of times, but never thought to cook them in a waffle iron. My daughter won’t eat the crescents normally because they’re buttery and “messy” but she loves waffles. This will be fun to make for her. Thanks!
Thanks for stopping by Kim! I hope your daughter loves them as much as my girls do 🙂 XO
