Can anyone tell me if the cooking times are based on a slow cooker using 110v or 220v? Mine is 22ov – should I reduce the cooking times in the recipe?
Love this recipe. Last time I made it I didn’t have potatoes so I cooked up some wagon wheel pasta separately to serve with it. Very good! Especially with cornbread. I’ll bet it would be good served with one of those microwavable bags of white or brown rice, too! My son likes to wrap the leftovers up in a tortilla! Very versatile recipe. Thanks!
We had this for dinner last night and it was wonderful. I like to find things that are fast and easy, because my husband does the cooking.
Going to have this again and try adding new things.
I have made this for my family several times and they love it. For a little extra kick, add sausage to the meat (chorizo works well) and or use diced tomatoes with chipotle. My wife even asked me to make a pot of this for her office’s holiday carry-in.
I made this Saturday and it was great. Next time I make it I think I will add a bit more cheese because it enhanced the flavor. Bites without cheese were “missing something,” but with the cheese it hit all the notes. Thank you for the recipe, I will be making it again for sure.
