Toast the bagel well and ensure the steak and eggs are not overly greasy. Spreading a thin layer of sauce on both sides of the bagel can also create a barrier.
- Use thinly sliced ribeye or a well-marbled steak for the best flavor and tenderness. If you can’t find thin slices, you can freeze the steak slightly and slice it thinly yourself.
- Don’t skimp on the seasoning for the steak. Make sure to season both sides generously for the best flavor.
- You can prepare the sauce and even season the steak the night before to save time in the morning.
