Dirty French Fries

Looking for something more exciting than ketchup to put on your fries? Why not try these Dirty French Fries with a little of everything? I don’t know how it works… but when you throw green onions, bell pepper, bacon, cheese, ranch dressing, brown gravy, and Old Bay seasoning onto a batch of fries all at once? It somehow just works all together.

Don’t believe me? Well, it’s easy enough to see for yourself. If you start with frozen French fries, it only takes around half an hour. Pile everything on the fries, then taste them and tell me if I’m right.

What if I don’t have Old Bay seasoning?

You can substitute Old Bay with cajun seasoning, or a mix of garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.

What type of cheese works best?

Cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, pepper jack, and monterey jack are all great options. Feel free to mix and match to find your favorite combination.

Favorite toppings include green onions, jalapeño peppers, banana peppers, red bell peppers, red onions, and plenty of other indulgent toppings like a drizzle of creamy dressing or cheese sauce.

Dirty French Fries

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray.  Toss the frozen french fries with the Old Bay seasoning until well coated and then lay out in a single layer on the baking sheet.  Bake for 23-27 minutes until golden brown and crispy. french fries on baking sheet
  2. While the fries are baking, heat the brown gravy on the stove or in the microwave, just until heated through.  Once the fries are cooked, drizzle the gravy over the top. gravy drizzled on top of fries
  3. Sprinkle on the shredded cheese and then top evenly with the bell pepper, bacon and green onions. fries topped with shredded cheese, bell pepper, bacon and green onions.

  5. Remove from the oven and drizzle on the buttermilk ranch. ranch drizzled on top of fries

  • 2 pound bag frozen french fries
  • 1 Tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 cup brown gravy
  • 3 cups cheese shredded
  • 1 large red bell pepper diced
  • ½ cup bacon cooked and crumbled
  • ¼ cup green onions sliced
  • ¼ cup buttermilk ranch
  • Chopped parsley optional garnish

Instructions
